Hello,

I suppose I should begin by saying thanks to Joel Risberg who seems to have kept this website afloat for quite some time without any help or input from me.

Over the past few years, my plans with regard to my musical career have continuously met with unexpected delays of one sort or another. As a result, there have been all sorts of rumors about intended album releases and tour dates which were never really booked. In light of all the confusion, I chose to stay quiet until there was something tangible to talk about.

Now to begin with, I am most terribly allergic to time. I won’t go in to it; I simply mean to excuse myself from not being able to remember how long ago I recorded the Sony Album.

Ah yes the Sony Album:
Quite some time ago (Years I believe), just after I wrote my very first batch of songs, I signed a record deal with a company called "The Work Group" (they were a sub-Sony Label; the ones who put out Fiona Apple’s album). To make a long story short, The Work Group kind of dissolved into Epic (a much larger Sony entity) and I was one of many artists who found themselves unable to make a home amongst the (already full) Epic Roster.

It seems now (years later), that Epic plans to release that album: I am surprised, and somewhat concerned as to which mixes of which songs they may be intending to release. Then again, I suppose I am one of a great many artists who would like to go back and re-do their first album.

I understand it will be in some stores in March though as of yet Sony has made no effort to enlist my assistance in the Album's promotion. We shall have to see.

Now (on a slightly more involved note; after quite a long while spent watching the days and nights run seamlessly into one and other), I find I have completed a second album. This one my drummer and I funded and produced together with the rest of the band (without the assistance or influence of anyone other than ourselves). The resulting batch of songs are on their way to being an album that I am exceedingly proud of.

We hope to be finished mixing by the end of February. At which point we will make samples of our new music available through our band website (which is currently still under development). In the mean time we will be rehearsing and making arrangements for the distribution of the new album.

As of the moment, the band and I have been struggling to come up with an appropriate name for ourselves, but I’m sure we must be drawing closer to some sort of conclusion.

I will do my best to keep you informed as the winter progresses.

I thank you all for your interest, and encourage you to hang on just a little while longer; there is plenty of new music on its way.

Respect and Blessings
-Ben.
